A Day Trip to New York City for Art Exhibition

My recent day trip to New York City was more than what I had hoped to accomplish.  My foremost goal was to visit the special Louis Vuitton art exhibition that spanned globally, with New York City as its fourth and final stop at the end of 2022.  I was determined to visit it having heard great reviews and as a fan of Louis Vuitton luxury leather goods.  Not only did I get to attend the exhibition, but I also got to spend some time with my brother and his fiancée, as well as my husband.  I originally planned for a solo trip, but was happily accompanied by this trio.  In addition to viewing an enormously entertaining exhibition, we got to enjoy New York City during the holiday season, which is always magical despite the crowds.  Furthermore, we had the opportunity to relish delicious ramen soups at two famed ramen houses: Momosan and Ippudo.  Enjoying the flavorful, piping hot soup during winter was very satisfying.

The art exhibition was called ‘200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: the Exhibition’ and hosted by Louis Vuitton, the mega luxury goods company.  The exhibition showcased 200 imaginative trunks created by 200 visionaries in the arts, culture, sports, and social causes of our time.  These visionaries include Francesca Sorrenti (photographer), Refik Anadol (media artist), Peter Marino (architect), and Franky Zapata (inventor).  The exhibition was colorful, playful, and imaginative, to say the least.  I hope the below pictures capture some of the essence of the exhibition that words could not.
